Posts Tagged ‘great people’

It was old prompt from plinky, they asked me: If I could invite any three people in history to a dinner party, who would I pick? A lot of great people I adore, but I choose these three people, maybe if you asked me in another day I would have different answer.

Alfred Russel Wallace
I want to hear his adventure and expedition story. I want to discuss about biogeography which is my passion with him. Geezzz..I would love to meet him in person… As for the menu I would serve my local cuisine, Sundanese food, to remind him of his time when he visited west java.

Mahatma Gandhi
I adore this person, his beleive, his strength, his dream. He was one of the greatest person in earth. His non-violence (Ahimsa) philosophy required incredible faith and courage, and not everyone possessed. Personally, I’m not totally agree with this concepts, because in my opinion there’s time we need to fight. As example, if someone beat us off course we need to fight back, but still in my point of view, violence was not a tool for hurt people but to defend ourselves. Gandhi said “When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall — think of it, always.”

Pramoedya Ananta Toer
He was amazing writer. That’s all.
